Close up with a T- Rex
One of the places we visited during the school holidays was the National Science Centre (NSC) in Kuala Lumpur. After having bought the tickets at the entrance, we proceeded into the Centre and we were first greeted by the aquariam of fishes. The children were enthralled by one where they were allowed to touch the sea creatures in it.

There was a science experiment session where 'magical' and 'bombastic' tricks were shown by two 'scientists'. The children were very active as there was always a surge of volunteers when only a few were required to go on stage to participate in the experiments.
There were many fun toys and playgrounds for the children to experience scientific theories and laws of nature such as the bouncy gigantic mattress and piano keys dance floor. Innovative cranes were also available for children to play where it tests their motor and balancing skills.

Great music composers
Gentle does it...
A special pass to the Dinosaur Park was just as thrilling as there was a dinosaur dancing to the beat of music, babies hatching from eggs, moving gentle brontosaurus and of course the fearsome T-Rex. The many life-like exhibits elicited many squeals and shrieks as they come 'alive'.
New butterfly grounds
The final destination was a short walk out of the building into the relatively new butterfly grounds. A noble idea where a variety of pretty butterflies and moths were fluttering around in the artificial mist but more can be done to spruce the place up for the comfort of our insect friends.
We, both teachers and children were all very happy with the trip to the NSC as it was educational and yet funfilled at the same time. Most importantly, the children had a chance to experience many gadgets and encounters in a safe and monitored environment which they would unlikely be able to in their daily surroundings.
